KM began his sculpture cycle with wood. At first, they were multi-dimensionally nested, abstract plug-in figures with Provençal colour composition. This was followed by multiple changes of direction in the folds on familiar figures such as stags, hares, dancers and riders, who throw their limbs in a motley fashion. Strong colour contrasts underline their acrobatics.
