KM makes the iconography of portraits stand out and become alien at the same time through exaggerated abstraction. Nevertheless, after a short hesitation, the viewer finds himself in the familiar. The layering is reminiscent of phantom images composed of identikits, the colour grids behind them each conveying their own moods.
